Summary: We booked the Scenic and Hiking tour with North Star Adventure, partly because it is run by a local indigenous operator. No one knows more about the land than the locals. We enjoyed the short hike very much. Joe and his team took to less traveled spots and we were able to enjoy the Cameron Falls fully and peacefully. Joe and Saige discussed and demonstrated ways to show us the respect of the land and the environment observed through their culture over the years. It was very refreshing.....Not just a tour to take pictures.

Summary: I was nervous to go hiking at -20F, but there was no need. As long as you dress for the weather you'll be fine. The landscape was beautiful, as was the view from the highest point on the trail. Brenden pointed out signs of local wildlife, and talked about traditional uses for some of the plants and trees growing there. The hike was just enough physical activity to be refreshing without being overly strenuous. The trail included elevation changes, but no climbing was necessary. I recommend wearing contacts rather than glasses if the temps are low, and be prepared to experience the forbidden mascara that is frozen eyelashes.
